The Polycom Soundpoint IP 301, model 2200-11331-001, is a 2 line VOIP phone using SIP that works as a local extension with a Talkswitch 280VS, 284VS, 480VS, 484VS, 48-CA or CVA running the Talkswitch 4.0 software version. The Soundpoint 301 is not a speakerphone. We only support this phone when used as a Talkswitch local extension, so, if that is not how you want to use it, we cannot support you, however, you may buy it anyway if you wish.

• The Polycom 301 is a 2 "Line" phone, 2 calls at once. In the Talkswitch world, this equates to a 2 call appearance phone as lines = calls
• 2 Port Ethernet Switch, plug phone into wall, computer into phone, no extra hub needed

• The Polycom 301 uses flash memory, settings are maintained in the event of a power loss
• Provisioning will be done by the Talkswitch phone system, so, easy to install compared to other SIP phones
• The phone is NOT powered by POE (Power over Ethernet), it comes with a power adapter though you can buy a POE adapter.To use POE, you do need a router or switch that supports it.
