The Talkswitch TS-850i is the answer to the often requested cordless phone for use with Talkswitch systems. The TS-850i comes with a base and single phone. The base attaches via network and/or analog phone cord. Each base can handle up to 8 total handsets, but, it cannot handle 8 calls at once. When used as IP phones, the base can process at most 3 simultaneous calls to any 3 of the up to 8 handsets. A fourth call will get a busy tone. When used as an analog connection to Talkswitch, there is only one call at a time, all TS-850i handsets share that call. It's the perfect solution when you need or want extensions without wiring. You can hook multiple TS-850i bases up to a single Talkswitch for more capability.

The TS-850i handset(s) can be used as speakerphones and come with their own charger and they communicate with Talkswitch via the base. The base can communicate to phones up to 1000 feet away (outside), 150 feet through floors and walls with excellent, DECT 6.0 quality. The phones can be used from their charger as a regular phone (including auto answer), or, can be carried via the included belt clip. These are very rugged phones, much tougher than the typical cordless phones you buy for use at home. Like other IP phones, the system can be used outside of the office where the Talkswitch is installed, i.e. as external IP extensions.
