We are a Platinum Talkswitch dealer and offer Fast and Free Shipping, Expert Technical Support, setup assistance, customization, upgrades, training, Discount Prices, and more. Our goal is to empower you to use your phone system to its fullest potential. Choosing a dealer for your Talkswitch 240VS is a very important decision, technical support is initially handled by the dealer you buy from. We provide expert technical support, typically, we are easier to reach than Talkswitch themselves. We stock and use these products, and offer fast shipment of all in stock items, not 2-3 days later. See our Phone Comparison Chart for a table showing how various Talkswitch phones differ. The Powertouch 390 phone(s) from Aastra (TES13211) are by *far* the easiest to use analog phones for the Talkswitch! The Talkswitch TS-600 we sell is also of similar functionality. There is no comparison for ease of use between the Aastra Powertouch phones, and the other analog phones when used with Talkswitch. These phones are pre-programmed for the Talkswitch system. These phones are not just phones with codes stored in buttons, they are scripted, menu driven context sensitive phones, the easiest to use! This phone is *not* the same as the PT-390 sold on most competitors sites! Those are nothing more than plain Aastra phones with a few defined buttons (and a different Aastra part number), they are much less expensive! This is the TES13211 model of the PT-390. These phones are professionally programmed (via a programming language) to work with Talkswitch seamlessly. The PT-390 TES13211 does not have a headset port, consider the PT-480e TEV13211 if you require a headset. This is a great Talkswitch 240VS phone.
Talkswitch 240VS is the owner-friendly™ phone system. The Talkswitch 240VS is a member of the Talkswitch family of products. It is an expandable system. A single Talkswitch 240VS has up to 2 analog phone lines, 4 analog or IP extensions, and an additional 12 IP extensions for a total of 16 extensions. You can hook up to 4 Talkswitch models (mix and match) together (networked). Hooking multiple units together adds together each boxes incoming lines, VOIP trunks, local extensions, and remote extensions, functioning as a single integrated phone system. As an example, 4 Talkswitch 240VS hooked together provides 8 analog incoming lines, 16 analog or IP local extensions, an additional 48 IP extensions, and 40 remote extensions. It functions as one phone system. On a Talkswitch 240VS, you can program up to 10 remote extensions (off site), these can be cell phones or anything else with a phone number. Talkswitch 240VS uses analog phones or IP phones for local extensions. The Talkswitch 240VS is ideal for companies with a small office, wanting a system that can later accommodate VOIP trunk lines or external IP phones, adding on to an existing system where the need is for more extensions instead of more incoming lines, and much more. The Talkswitch 240VS can be later expanded via an add-on VOIP board to add 4 or 8 incoming VOIP trunk lines (244VS, 248VS), you can add 4 additional analog extension ports (280VS), or you can add a board to convert it into a 480VS. Talkswitch 240VS functions as a PBX system or similar to a key system, depending on your phone choice.
Surge Protection for your Talkswitch 240VS can be added. The most likely reason your Talkswitch 240VS will fail over time is surge related damage, not necessarily lightning. Power Systems offers guaranteed protection, assuming you hook it up properly, it *will* protect your system. Properly hooked up means the Talkswitch 240VS, the LAN connector, incoming phone line ports, and extension ports that go to powered devices must all be hooked up to the same protector. So, even if you have a UPS, you still need these devices to protect your system. Our system has protection for 4 power cords, 1 LAN connector, and, some number of ports, pick the appropriate number for your system. If for example you pick "4 ports", this means a total of 4 incoming analog lines and analog extensions running to your Talkswitch 240VS. So, "Ports" refers to the total of powered analog extension phones, fax machines, or other analog devices, and, incoming analog lines.
Pretty much, you can expect once setup for the Talkswitch 240VS to run itself. It is a full featured small office phone system, very powerful. There are other auto attendant services you can buy, but it won't take long for you to pay for this system with what they charge. Also, you will have a lot more features that are needed in todays business environment. Unlike the typical PBX system, a Talkswitch does not require a highly paid technician to program and maintain as your business changes!
