The Panamax M4T-EX is a base module that allows you to add-on other modular products. When used with Talkswitch, you want to add on a number of MOD-AT4 to completely protect your phone system. The total number of phone ports protected should equal the number of incoming lines PLUS the number of extension ports used. For the extension ports, if a device is powered, you must protect that port. So, phones with power adapters, fax machines, computer modems, etc. As an example, if you have a Talkswitch 48-CA with 3 incoming phone lines, and, 5 extensions, thats 8 ports, therefore, you need 2 MOD-AT4.

The outlets are spaced to allow room for transformers. The unit is plugged into a wall outlet via a space saving right-angle plug (45 degree offset), and has an 8 foot cord. The M4T-EX has indicator lights for ground ok, unsafe voltage, and power on/protection ok.

The M4T-EX also has 2 RJ45 modular jacks (1 input, 1 output) and protects pins 4 and 5 at a clamping level of 260V for phone protection, and, pins 1,2,3 and 6 at 7 Volts for network protection, this is the way it is normally used with Tlkaswitch 48 systems to protect the LAN port. A 4 foot phone cord and a 4 foot cat5 network cable are included.

The Panamax M4T-EX has Surgegate Plus circuitry to protect against prolonged brownouts as well as over-voltage. It also is easily expandable via optional add-on signal line modules sold separately, such as the MOD-AT4.

EMI,RFI noise filtration is 50dB (100kHz-1 MHz).

The M4T-EX can handle up to 15A at 1800W of equipment. The response time is less than 1 nanosecond, and it is UL1449 rated at 330V. The spike capacity is 52,000A.

The M4T-EX measures 8" X 5" X 1.75", and can be wall mounted (brackets and screws included). Warranty is lifetime, and, your equipment is guaranteed to be protected if properly hooked up.
