The Panamax MOD-AT4 is an add-on signal line module for the M4T-EX base surge protector for Talkswitch. When used with Talkswitch, you want to add on a number of MOD-AT4 to completely protect your phone system. The total number of phone ports protected should equal the number of incoming lines PLUS the number of extension ports used. For the extension ports, if a device is powered, you must protect that port. So, phones with power adapters, fax machines, computer modems, etc. As an example, if you have a Talkswitch 24-CA with 1 incoming phone line, and, 2 extensions, thats 3 ports, therefore, you need 1 MOD-AT4 since each one can protect up to 4 ports.
The input and output sides of the Panamax MOD-AT4 can be hooked up via the 110 punch down block, 4 single RJ-11 cords, 2 2-line RJ-14 cords, or, 1 4-line RJ-45 cord. The equipment side does NOT have to use the same connection method, so, input might be for example via 2 2 line phone cords, and output can be 4 single line phone cords, very flexible. The clamping level is 260 volts. It has auto-resetting PTCs. Typically, used to protect phones, a small PBX, modems, pay per view ports for cable or satellite, DSL lines before the modem (ADSL or G.Lite). Includes four 4 ft single line phone cords.
The Panamax MOD-AT4 is 4.25" Wide by 4.25" Long by 1.5" High. Lifetime warranty, and, your phone system is also warranted when properly hooked up.
